The California Board of Registered Nursing requires nurses to have background checks from the FBI in addition to the Department of Justice prior to licensing. Nurses are required to meet continuing education unit requirements imposed by the State.
We generally can begin services within 24 to 48 hours of referral. A Registered Nurse will make an assessment visit and complete your personalized plan of care. We begin services on the same day of referral when circumstances allow.
We accept long-term care, workers’ compensation and private insurance. We also will verify your insurance coverage.
Our services are available to purchase privately from two hours to 24 hours any day of the week. Services may be increased or decreased according to your needs. You do not need a physician’ s order to call Competent Care in order to purchase our services privately, but we will use your doctor’s orders to create a Plan of Treatment based on your specific needs.
